Bob Dylan was right –the times, they are a-changin. From high
unemployment to debilitating decreases in public funding, the old
paradigm no longer works for most and requires a new course of action.
Following an astounding 81% decrease to the Parks, Recreation and
Cultural Services budget and the mandate to eliminate long-term, core
services to bridge the shortfall, Meadows Park Community Center instead
completely revamped its business model while maintaining its mission and
has not just weathered the storm, but has prospered.
Learn about this dynamic business model and its transferability to
municipalities of all sizes, cultures and degrees of financial
stability. Beyond providing a general overview the presentation, like
the BBP model itself, will be highly interactive and will include a
group activity and live demonstration to engage the audience in a way
that allows for deeper understanding of how to engage in rapid,
effective transformation from the grass-roots to upper management
levels.
